Caring for Sick Children

Written by Candice on January 7th, 2014

As Jason got ready for work I was awakened with the unpleasant sound of my youngest gagging. I rushed her to the closest restroom and the vomiting continued. Cleaned everything up and attempted to put her back in bed but in the softest and sweetest voice she asked to go downstairs. I’m sure it isn’t just me but when kids make those pitiful faces you just do anything to make them feel better. So I grabbed a blanket and ventured down the stairs carrying Akilah.

I reminded her that she needed to let Mommy know if she needed to throw up and we would make it to the bathroom. Come on less clean up for everyone. She requested Mulan and I set her up on the couch with the Disney flick. So far she has used the phrase “Mommy I need to throw up” a few times and off we went to the bathroom. No fever or any other symptoms so I’m sure this will pass quickly.

Ah it was just another snow day for the kids and me so watching Disney movies on the couch will work.
